The Kelly-Douglas fund supports projects that enrich our understanding of one or more of the fields comprising the Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (HASS) at MIT.
Initially created to support faculty research and teaching in the humanities alone, the Fund has gradually shifted its emphasis, broadening its mission to include lecturers and students (both graduate and undergraduate).

The Fund is now accepting applications to support teaching and research for Fall 2009 and IAP 2010. Applications for Spring 2010 will be accepted starting January 1 2010.
Applications for Fellowships to travel in IAP 2010 are now being accepted. The submission deadline is Thursday, November 12 2009.
The 2009 I. Austin Kelly III essay prize competition is closed. Essays may be submitted for the 2010 competition starting on February 1 2010.
