Knowledge Updates @ MIT

Knowledge Updates are short, technologically delivered modules that provide a working understanding of recent developments in various fields.

The Updates will draw on MIT's strengths in technical and multidisciplinary subjects. Offered to the extended MIT community, the Knowledge Updates @ MIT comprise a new component of the lifelong learning opportunities at MIT.

Near term steps (Summer 2000)

The core team will develop a recommendation for the Executive Sponsors’ and the MITCET’s approval. The plan will address how MIT can generate and offer Knowledge Updates @ MIT modules that provide the target market with a working understanding of current hot issues and emerging fields in a way that is financially viable, that is sustainable, and that achieves the objectives of the program.

The plan will be presented to the MITCET and the Executive Sponsors this September, with the intention that it will be approved for implementation in the Fall 2000.
