Complex Predications
Date: July 15, 2005
Time: 8am-10pm
Location: Harvard, Emerson 101
The purpose of the workshop is to compare current research on
at least three different types of complex predicates, including
the light verb type, the particle type, and the serial verb type.
We hope to establish to what extent this tripartition accurately
characterizes the possibilities for complex predicate types crosslinguistically,
and to what extent they can be or should be unified.
