Libraries
The Harry Elkins Widener Memorial Library is Harvard University 's flagship library. It has over 65 miles of shelves and the capacity to hold over three million volumes.
Institute participants are eligible for Stacks Browsing and Reading Room Privileges at the Widener Library upon request at the Widener Library Privileges office. Individuals will have access to Widener Library, browsing access to the Stacks and use of the reference collection in the Loker Reading Room, the current periodicals collection in the Periodicals Reading Room and the newspapers on microfilm in the Newspaper Microfilm Reading Room. In addition, individuals may request up to ten items per day to be paged from the Harvard Depository (HD) and delivered for their use in the Phillips Reading Room. HD materials are delivered after 3 pm the next business day.
Religious Life
The United Ministry at Harvard is the umbrella organization of 38 chaplains representing 26 of the world's religious traditions, united in their commitment to serving Harvard's diverse communities.
