Jacques Mehler has been the Directeur de Recherche at C.N.R.S. since 1980, Directeur d'Etudes l'Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, Paris, France since 1982, and Editor in Chief, Cognition, International Journal of Cognitive Science since 1972.
