Glyne L. Piggott is Professor in the Department of Linguistics at McGill University and received both the M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Toronto. Areas of research interest include phonology, especially syllable structure, stress systems, nasality and nasalization including nasal harmonies, vowel and consonant harmonies, the phonology-morphology interface, and the phonology of Algonquian languages. Recent publications include “Theoretical Implications of Segment Neutrality in Nasal Harmony,” in Phonology; “Against Featural Alignment,” in Journal of Linguistics; and “At the Right Edge of Words,” in The Linguistic Review.
