Current Exhibition

In its internationally recognized series of exhibitions, the MIT List Visual Arts Center presents visual art programming that mirrors MIT's own questing, experimental nature.

The LVAC continually explores the boundaries of contemporary culture and thought, and presents scholarship that sheds new light on art and society. The Center’s exhibitions include post-war historical and thematic shows, as well as solo artist’s projects that often feature newly commissioned works. Exhibitions are developed for the enjoyment and edification of the MIT and greater Boston communities and national and international visitors. LVAC exhibitions often tour nationally and internationally; and the List also hosts major international exhibitions that otherwise would not be seen by local audiences. Significant publications, brochures, wall labels, and other educational materials accompany each exhibition. The LVAC has also produced exhibitions for such international events as the Venice and Cairo Biennales.
