We're located in the heart of the campus, 5 minutes from the Lobby 7 and less than a hop away from the Student Center. Check out the New McCormick Website! Hey everyone, the new McCormick website is about to be launched. Although not quite done yet, take a sneak preview here: Check it out! Current and Upcoming Events McCormick 2012 CPW Events! Thursday Food Around the World: Thursday 5-7pm, Come enjoy catered food from some of the many cultures represented in McCormick. Cookie Decorating: Thursday 7-8:30pm, We'll have cookies, frosting, sprinkles, and tons more. Glow Ultimate Elimination: Thursday 9:30-11pm, Have you ever wanted to play partner dodgeball...at night...with glow in the dark necklaces. If you're intrigued, come check it out! Friday Running and Breakfast: Friday 8-11am, Morning bridge loop (a popular route for runners) led by McCormick residents for the first hour, then breakfast available from 9-11. Smoothies: Friday 2-4pm, We've raided Haymarket so we've got tons of fruit and ice cream. Come show us your mad blending skills by designing your own concoction. BBQ: Friday 5-8pm, Come enjoy hamburgers, veggie burgers, and more out on the front lawn. Our chefs will have halal, vegan, and kosher options among others. Mocktail Party: Friday 8-10pm, Virgin margaritas and other mocktails... all the Class of a cocktail party without the embarrassment of being turned away because you are underage. Game Night: Friday 10:30pm-12:30am, We've got board games, video games, and tons more. Come play or just hang out. Saturday Yoga and Breakfast: Saturday 10am-12pm, A time to stretch out, relax, and see the dance studio or grab some breakfast to start the day. Picture Scavenger Hunt: Saturday 2-4pm, We'll divide into teams to see who can be the first to snap a picture with everything on our list. Dessert and Karaoke: Saturday 4-5pm, Come, hang out, and eat delicious sweets. Then show off your singing talent or just have fun with our karaoke machine. Fondue: Saturday 7-11pm, Melted chocolate and plenty of fruit and sweets to dip, what's not to like? Pre-party: Saturday 9-11pm, Come chill with the ladies of McCormick and get ready for an evening of partying by having your hair done, painting your nails, finding a party group, or just chatting. Post-party: Saturday 12-3am,Unwind after a long night of partying with a movie, warm drinks, and snacks. Sunday Leftovers: Sunday 10am-12pm, You want breakfast/free swag and we want to get rid of everything we did not use over the weekend. McCormick House Government Meeting 2/18/12 1pm in the GLR! Agenda: House government goals of the year/calendar of events for the month, approval of house budget, approval of permanent room reservations If your group would like to make a permanent reservation for a room in McCormick this semester, a representative MUST be present at the house meeting. Treats from Flour bakery will be served. :) RAA Event: Semester Long Energy 2/23/12, 7-9pm, Brown Living Room Come hang out with the RAAs and learn how to be ready for the new semester- from coping with P/NR withdrawals to avoiding burn out. Healthy snacks and tips on healthy living will also be provided. Changes coming to the McCormick Website! We are currently remodeling the McCormick website, so be on the lookout for exciting changes! Past Events International Dessert Night! Wed. Nov. 9th 7-9pm McCormick Hall Pumpkin Carving Competition! Oct. 29 2-4pm Whine and Cheese 10/18 7:30-8:30pm McCormick Lexington Trip Saturday, 9/17 9:15am-6pm we'll drive out Mass Ave on the route the British took on April 19th, 1775!! then...Visit Lexington Common, the scene of first gunshots, Have brunch, Drive to Visitor's Center, Minuteman National Park. See their exhibits and multi-media show about the events of April 19. Drive to Rude Bridge at Concord - stroll to the bridge, hear about the "shot heard around the world", contemplate those days and the beautiful countryside. Return to Concord Center for ice cream Drive to Walden Pond. See the replica of Thoreau's cottage. Return to McCormick at 5 PM - 6 PM at latest. First McCormick Big Sis Lil' Sis Event! Tuesday, September 13th 7pm We are having a big-sis little-sis game night of epic proportions. Basically anything you ever wanted to play at Desk plus Dominion, Quao, and an infinite number of cards will be present. So that means you should be too! Those not a part of the big sis lil sis program are always welcome to join in. It will be Tuesday, at 7 pm. Don't forget, and be excited.
