Research summary:
I use microfluidics to study the formation and maintenance of functional microvasculature. Our in-vitro assay enables us to precisely control the
biochemical and mechanical properties affecting angio/vasculo-genesis and provides us the ability to visually moniter these processes in real-
time. The applications of this study include tumor angiogenesis, cancer metastasis, and the engineering of artificial tissue and organs.
