Find out what's new for
2007-2008 in the MIT Student Extended Insurance Plan.
The MIT Student Extended Insurance Plan is a Preferred Provider
Organization (PPO) that extends the MIT Student Medical Plan
by covering additional inpatient hospital and outpatient services.
If you use one of the plan's in-network preferred providers,
the plan will cover most of the cost of your care. If you
use an out-of-network provider, you'll pay a larger portion
of the cost (please refer to the Student Health Plan Overview or the Summary
Plan Description for details).
As a regular registered student or special student registered
with 27 or more units, you are automatically enrolled in and
billed for your membership in the MIT Student Extended Insurance
Plan.
The plan is administered in partnership with Blue Cross Blue
Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA) and includes:
- Outpatient services outside MIT Medical. For more information about referrals for outpatient
medical or surgical services, read our Referral
Request Process FAQ.

charges for the well newborn baby
