MIT Optical is a full-service optical store specializing in quality eyewear and frame repairs for the MIT community at a reasonable cost.

We offer hundreds of eyeglass frames to choose from, including major brands, designer frames from all over the world, and frames under $100. We also offer a large selection of specialty eyewear for swimming, cycling, scuba diving, racquet sports, and other leisure activities.

To enhance your vision, we provide the highest quality lenses (including Carl Zeiss, Hoya, Essilor) and control quality and consistency in our own in-house laboratory. Contact lenses are available at MIT Medical's Eye Service.

MIT Discounts
We adjust eyeglasses and repair minor problems free of charge for anyone who stops by. MIT health plan members and students receive a 25 percent discount on eyewear purchases. Other MIT community members receive a 20 percent discount.
