Lectures are offered in both English and Spanish and should be viewed in the order listed. To view a lecture, click on the desired language.

The English option provides video and slides for all but two lectures: Lecture 6, "Phases of Drug Development" and Lecture 17, "Trial Monitoring". For these lectures, audio and slides are provided.

The Spanish option provides audio and slides for all lectures. Four lectures provide video and slides in Spanish as well. These are: Lecture 6, "Phases of Drug Development," Lecture 10, "Evaluation of a Clinical Research Site," Lecture 17, "Trial Monitoring," and Lecture 20, "ICIC: A Model of a Private Health Institution for Clinical Research."

Which format should I choose?

  • Choose High Speed Video Button if you have DSL, Cable modem, or are connected by Ethernet.

  • Choose ISDN Video Button if you have an ISDN Internet connection.

  • Choose 56k Modem Video Button if you have a 56k dial-up modem.

  • Choose Audio Audio Button if your Internet connection is slower than 56k, or you have difficulty viewing the videos with a 56k modem connection.

  • Choose Slides Only Slide Button to review the slides in a lecture. With Slides Only, you can click through the slide show at your own pace.

  • Choose Transcript Transcript Button if you wish to view a PDF (printable) transcript of the lecture.

Are you having problems seeing the video? Try the following:

  • Sometimes it takes several seconds for a video to download.
  • Make sure you are using a current version of RealPlayer (as of this writing, RealPlayer 8 is the most current version).
  • If you have a 56k modem, and the video does not appear, or frequently stalls, you may be experiencing network congestion. Select the audio-only version instead.
  • If you have a modem slower than 56k, select the audio-only version.
  • Try the clips at RealNetworks. If you can't view any of their sample RealVideo clips, go to the RealNetworks Help Page.

* If you cannot access the video lectures due to bandwidth limitations, please contact the system administrator at XXX-XXX-XXXX to receive a CD-ROM containing all of the lectures.
