Summary: OK, now we've got a problem. We're in the kregora lined vault. The door is open, but can't close without taking down the dam. Outside is a 100,000 gallons of water waiting to get in past our force dam. Evil Brother has Alynna's relative hostage thousands of miles away and is threatening to kill them if we do anything. No merging into kregora lined walls. We can't hurt him because if he dies, the universe will end in the following round due to speedy elven soul depature. Oh yeah, that 100,000 gallons of water out there? That's unholy water.

Sigh.

We propose to take only the money we've got now and he let's the hostage go. He counteroffers that we split the loot 50/50 and we throw in a lock of our hair. Imre's against it.

We negotiate back and forth for a bit and settle on, 25% of the money, the hostages, and 1 hair from Alynna.

Orhan 4 Day 40 TE 6063

Oathar outlines his plan to settle the Zorian contention. We talk about setting up the conference and bribing the Rakhani emporer with the opal of vastness.

Gireg Jan is pretty impressed with the idea. He and Arisia think talking to Enik Foor about how to get started. Gireg Jan gives us provisional approval for the conference idea, but we need to send a report to the loremasters to get serious approval. Imre writes a report to the Loremaster Council.

Orhan 4 Day 41 TE 6063

We go talk to Enik Foor. He's impressed that we have such a thing as that. He needs to talk to the prince to see how involved he wants to be, but probably can offfer Selkai as a host site for the conference. He can introduce us to the right people, such as the Rakhani Ambassador, and a Zorian representative (which we'll have to find). We'll have to give the Rakhani secret advance notice so he'll know what to do.

Our biggest problem at first is getting Mornan an official representative.

At the moment, our two front runners are Voriig Kye and Citizen Trask.

We go to Tammenger to get the gem verified and appraised.

Tammenger's eyes open wide. Wider, wider... He does a thurough investigation. Measures the mass, density, color, everything.

Orhan 4 Day 43 TE 6063

Back to the Zorian dessert. Mornan is interested in the whole idea. He wonders if anyone from Norek would be able to assist him. We consider Nusmoi. We consider Trask. Mornan is sadly far to scared to hire Voriig Kye. Sigh. Oathar is crushed.

Orhan 4 Day 44 TE 6063

We head to Orian to talk to Citizen Trask. He just doesn't buy it. So we take him to Taminger. That doesn't work either. He's sure it's all a drinking game or practical joke or something.

Haeraan drops Voice of Conviction.

We poof back to Orian to discuss it.

Then we take him up to Zor to talk to the king. They decide Trask shall have a county for his service.

We send in our various reports to the Loremaster, and prepare to go see the Rakhani ambassador... We bring Enik Foor and have an off the record meeting with the Rakhani ambassador.

Orhan 4 Day 55 TE 6063

We let a week pass and then get Enik Foor's assistance with our official invitations.

Enik Foor says that the two parties are willing to head into the pre-negotiation phase in which we discuss how to do the groundrules. Gerand wants Zaon to be a petitioner. Zaon wants to be the noble freedom fighter saving his kingdom from opression.

Enik Foor brings the two representatives together informally.

We summoned by the loremaster council to Karilon. Kyrik drops some of his new books off there. They ask three simple questions. We answer. They say that they are not confident this will succeed but we have their permission to continue.
