This time, the Kurzalaen!

We fly invisibly up the mountain.

At the top we get to the caldera with the kurzalaen poking out the top and a circular hole leading downwards.

We back off and gather power points for eight hours..

During the second watch, Jaezel turns up and tells us the forces are gathering. "I'm surprised you waited, now there will be twice as many at the Kurzalaen waiting for you." He will be with us. He camps for the rest of the night. Jaezel says we fly down to the main level and then make our way to the containment level at the base where we can unleash our power.

We fly down to the entrance level and find it is made of blue marble. Kyrik accidentally touches the floor and all of his spells go down. Stone sight can't see very far through it.

Imre channels some essense from the world to power his spells, but the rest of us lose ours. We go to one of the teleportals downstairs and prepare to head into the ambush defenseless. Alynna, Kyrik, and Haeraan go first.

Down below, they get ambushed! Imre is shocked! They are attacked and fight back in melee. Alynna almost gets her leg chopped of by one fo the guys leg-vorpal sword.

Oathar and Imre show up. Imre starts healing them, and Oathar hastes them. We fight some and then Iblis and some goons show up. So far, we've only taken one down. Well Jaezel did. It's not going well. Alynna is bleeding at near-Kyrikian levels, and everyone else is fighting for their lives. Imre spends every round keeping Alynna up, and Oathar is trying to come back on-line.

Then more bad guys arrive. And Alynna gets mind controlled. OK, this is getting out of hand.

After a whole lot of fighting, in which we hemorage fate points, Jaezel finally manages to get Alynna out of her mind control.

After a while we manage to get throught he first wave, but the second and thirds waves are smiting us down. Suddenly blinky shows us and declares that in exchange for fate points he will crush our enemies.
