Humanities lessons will be interspersed between both math and science lessons. Students will not only learn about the numbers associated with the game but also the people that have shaped baseball into the form it holds today. Topics may include segregation, various cultural adaptations of baseball, and other aspects of relevant history.

Students will also take part in a formal proceeding in which two teams will debate about two sides of a controversial issue surrounding the sport. For example, past subjects have included steroid use and Baseball Hall of Fame eligibility and also the addition of Instant Replay as an official part of the game.
