To accompany the past exhibition of Berenice Abbott's science photography, Daniel Jackson, an avid photographer and MIT professor of electrical engineering and computer science, created a photographic essay documenting current scientific research at MIT.
Speaking about his own work, Jackson believes the images "ask more questions about our ambivalence about science and big machines, and what they mean for us particularly because of our concerns about the environment, energy, nuclear weapons and mechanization."
