Thank you for your interest in vacation week workshops at the MIT Museum. The workshops below are for individual students in grade 6-12. TWO sessions will be held each day, at 10:30 am and 1:00 pm. For group reservations, please visit our group reservations page and submit an online reservation request. Students younger than 12 years of age are encouraged to participate in our daily drop-in activities and demonstrations. If you are a middle or high school teacher interested in observing one or more of the workshops below, please contact the Museum's Education Coordinator.

Monday, February 17 - Visualizing Science (REGISTRATION CLOSED FOR BOTH SESSIONS)
Test your observation skills with artifacts from MIT research labs as you explore microscopy, biological engineering, nanoscience, and nanotechology research at MIT. Recommended for grades 6-12.
Tuesday, February 18 - Fish 'n' Ships (REGISTRATION CLOSED FOR BOTH SESSIONS)
Be the first to experience the MIT Museum's new nautical engineering workshop and learn about nature-inspired engineering at MIT through hands-on experiments, a boat design challenge, and a tour of our popular Robotics exhibition. Recommended for grades 6-12.
Wednesday, February 19 - Introduction to Robotics (REGISTRATION CLOSED FOR BOTH SESSIONS)
Learn to program a LEGO Mindstorms robot and take a tour of the Robots & Beyond exhibition with a Museum educator. Recommended for grades 6-12.
Thursday, Feburary 20 - Hello Holography! (REGISTRATION CLOSED FOR BOTH SESSIONS)
Learn about the science behind 3D imagery as you explore the properties of light and the MIT Museum's captivating holography exhibition. Open to grades 6-12. Recommended for grades 9-12.
Friday, Feburary 21 - Structural Engineering (REGISTRATION CLOSED FOR BOTH SESSIONS)
Try your hand at bridge-building using recycled materials in this introduction to architecture and civil engineering. Recommended for grades 6-8.
