Parks of Sprawl: The Corporate Landscape

Ford Fairlane Case Study

Networks
The expansive land of the office park as a single development has the capacity to provide and connect to larger scale ecological networks.  Office parks also have particular social networking capacities.  Some corporations have collaborated with local school systems to offer their land resources as hands-on learning sites for children to learn about local natural systems.  In addition to providing sites for learning experiments, there are sometimes ecologists or environmental engineers employed by companies to manage the office park landscapes who can offer particular environmental knowledge to local residents.
