For the past four summers, MIT has hosted a meeting of security
teams from area academic sites called "Security Camp." It's a chance
for the people responsible for securing networks and computer systems
at area colleges to get together and exchange information, ideas and
solutions. Any member of an academic security team is welcome to
attend, and we make an effort to include individuals who may have
something to contribute to the discussion, such as representatives of
law enforcement or professional security consultants.
Security Camp is intended to be an informal day of presentations
and open discussions. This year's Camp will be held August
21-22. Registration is open and may be found at https://websurvey.mit.edu/fcgi-bin/scamp. An
archive of past presentations is available.
Boston University hosts a companion Security Camp event in March; see

University.
