Toru Iiyoshi moderated and presented at a featured panel at the 6th annual conference of the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning last week.
The panel "SoTL 2.0: The Next Ten Years of Technology-Enhanced Scholarship of Teaching and Learning" reviewed and reflected on how technology has advanced the ways we document, examine, peer-review and share our efforts in improving teaching and student learning over the last ten years, and explores and envisions how it will further help evolve the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in the next ten years. It also discussed underlying issues related to data collection and assessment strategies, questions around appropriate dissemination of results and findings, as well as sharing recent exemplary initiatives such as OEIT's Gallery of Educational Innovation, intended to help instructors share best practices in their teaching.
