Registration is open for NERCOMP's upcoming workshop: “Open Education on the Move – From the Global to the Local”
Thursday, September 13, 2012, 9:30 - 3:30 (Coffee and Registration start at 7:30) Norwood, Massachusetts.
Open Education and Open Educational Resources (OER) have been capturing imaginations and headlines – from MIT’s OpenCourseWare to EdX, the potential of freely licensed courses and course material is seen as having transformational potential for higher education, both in the United States and abroad.
Featuring OEIT's Vijay Kumar, David Wiley of FlatWorld Knowledge, and Braddlee of Mercy College, the day will highlight some of the leading initiatives and projects in the OER movement. Participants will receive an overview of the essential elements needed to return to campus and initiate or support ongoing OER activities at your school.
