A 21st CENTURY LEARNING FUTURE
Abstract - Given the speed of change, the explosion of information, and the endless new mobile and social technologies, the possibilities for learning have never been greater. In this talk, I will discuss what the learning landscape that could be, given new tools and participatory-learning approaches. Social searching, science storytelling, and place-based learning will be explored. Live demonstrations of example tools will be presented. The goal of this talk is not to predict the future, but prepare for it. *Bio* Allison Druin is Chief Futurist for the University of Maryland's Division of Research and is a Professor in the iSchool and a researcher in the Human-Computer Interaction Lab.
