THE METHODOLOGY VAULT

REQUIREMENTS PHASE

This document outlines the methodology which will be used to develop the requirements for the Methodology Vault. The purpose of a Requirements Method can be found in Requirements for a DCNS Development Process -- Requirements Phase.

The Project Team, communicating with the DISCUSS group orange, will create a Requirements Statement which will list all the requirements of the Methodology Vault. This document will be created in five steps:

1. Identification of Broad Classifications for Requirements
2. Examples of Requirements in Each Classification
3. Solicitation of Requirements from the DISCUSS Group
4. Draft of Requirements Document Submitted for further Discussion
5. Finalization of the Requirements Document

This approach is designed to gather "customer" needs before proceeding with the creation of the Methodology Vault. The deliverable, the Requirements Statement, will be used in later stages and will serve, ultimately, to determine the success of the project.
