Women's Professional Day was first held in 2006, when the MIT Panhellenic Association decided to first host an event that would provide a woman's perspective in her career after her MIT experience, as well as provide networking opportunities between MIT women alumnae and current students at MIT.

This year will the third WPD, featuring a keynote speech by Adèle Naudé Santos, Dean of Architecture and Planning, as well as continued support from the MIT Alumni Association and other women's student groups at MIT. Our goal is to provide networking opportunities and career advice to all of the women undergraduate population, as well as help these female students hear from women who have been in their exact same place.

We will be having two breakout panel sessions of diverse alumni with different topics to focus on - the first discussing career experiences, and the latter discussing more personal experiences and unique topics. Through collaboration with women's groups on campus, we hope to reach out to all the women on campus and provide the resources to build relationships with experienced women who have survived and thrived at MIT.
