Design Work ambient battery
The RoboScooter, which debued at the Milan Motor Show in early November of 2007, was created by the Smart Cities group at the Media Lab in conjunction with Sanyang Motors, a large scooter manufacturer in Taiwan. For the project, I designed and constructed the a concept battery pack that provides the scooter with 360 watt-hours of power. The battery features ambient lighting on the side (white) panels that indicates the current status of the battery. The lighting is driven by 40 12 bit resolution, tri-color LEDs and controlled via python.
