Distinguished speaker :: Governor Ted Strickland
Ted Strickland was Governor of Ohio from 2007 through January 2011. During his tenure Governor Strickland led the development of a strong and growing new energy economy in Ohio. He introduced and signed legislation which will make Ohio the 3rd largest producer of renewable energy in the nation. Strickland served in the US House of Representatives prior to his election to the governorship. During his six terms in Congress, he was instrumental in expanding access to health insurance for children, and increased investments in the State for technology, and economic development.
