If this is a topic you feel strongly about, no matter who you are, you can make a difference. And there are many ways to do so.
- Never Forget: Smallpox-infected blankets, WWI's chlorine, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Halabja, Sarin in Tokyo's subway, the Moscow theatre siege
- do not undertake research that is instrumental, even minutely, to the support of WMDs
- undertake research that helps the disarmament process
- apply for funding from the The MacArthur Foundation
- join or donate to an established anti-WMD organization
- write your government representative, in whatever is your home country
- understand the issues
- share your knowledge with others and engage in constructive dialogue
- write letters to the editor of your local newspaper if the opportunity arises
- enourage your university to refuse research that in some way supports WMDs
