Requirements for Roles on NT |
- A PC running Windows 2000 or higher.
- At least 10Mb of free disk space for the Roles application and its
PowerBuilder runtime library files.
- 20MB of hard drive space for Oracle Client Software.
- A username registered in the Roles Database in order to run the application.
Contact business-help@mit.edu.
- An installed copy of the Roles Database application.

Download mitroles.exe |
- Go to http://web.mit.edu/software (certificates are
required), click on the Windows tab and download:
- Oracle 9i Client Core
- Role 1.01b
- If you are running earlier versions of Roles and Oracle 7.3.2,
download Oracle Uninstaller
Result: As you download each installer file, a "Save As..." window
appears.
- Save the files MIT-Oracle-9-Core and MIT-Roles-1.01b
(and MIT-Oracle-Uninstaller, if necessary) in
a temporary directory.
Result: The files are downloaded to your computer.

Install Oracle 9i Core and Roles 1.01b |

Use the Find command to find the
file downloaded files:
MIT-Oracle-Uninstaller--only if Oracle 7.2.3 is
already installed
MIT-Oracle-9-Core
MIT-Roles-1.01b (and
- Install the software in the order shown above: the Uninstaller, if
necessary, Oracle-9, and then Roles. To launch the installer, double
click on the appropriate file
Result: The Installation screen appears.
- Follow the onscreen instructions, accepting default locations for
installation
Result: The installation proceeds.
To start Roles, follow the path Start>All Program>Roles 1.01b |
