Athena is the computer system at MIT, and Athena accounts give you access to the network, cluster computers, and many of the other resources at MIT. You'll all receive your own temporary account for the program, including a @mit.edu email address!

6. Is there a printer/scanner/copy machine I can use somewhere?

There are printers all around campus, including in all Athena (computer) clusters. A full list of printers you can use can be found here.
There is a scanner in Athena cluster in W20-575 (student center 5th floor), across the room from the entrance. There is also a scanner in Maseeh's basement cluster, though its functionality is not guaranteed.
There are copy machines in the CopyTech offices in W20 and Building 11, but they cost money to use.
