Print All Building Repair Help


Building Repair Form

Use this form to enter the details of your repair request. When you are done, click on the Submit button. An e-mail message will be sent to you, confirming that your request has been received and also providing the work order number for the request.

The fields with the asterisk next to them are required fields.

Hours of Operation:

Housing: Normal business hours are weekdays 7:00am to 4pm.

Facilities: Normal business hours for Repair and Maintenance are 7:00am to 3pm.

Enter the following information:

Building No.: Enter the building, e.g., e19
OR
Dormitory: Select a dormitory from the dropdown list.

If you are not sure of the building information, click on the Search icon. The Search for Building screen displays. To see a list of all buildings, press the Search button. You can also enter a number or a name and a list of buildings with that number or name will display.

If the building is not included in the search list, you cannot use the Building Repair Form. Instead, click on the link for "List of buildings not serviced by this form." The Request Services for Buildings not Serviced by this Form screen displays. Follow the directions on this list.

Room: The entry can be numbers, letters, or both, up to ten characters. Examples: 240-j, Ladies rm.

Floor: Select a floor from the dropdown list.

Describe the problem: Be as specific as you can.

Is this a Temperature-related Problem: Note that the No button is already filled in. Click on the Yes button, if appropriate.

Let us know how we can contact you: Your information is automatically filled in from your web certificate. Edit information if necessary.

Cc1: If a second person might want to know about the problem, enter that person’s e-mail here.

Cc2: If another person might want to know about the problem, enter that person’s e-mail here.

Special Instructions: Enter pertinent information, such as "See John Smith for access to the room."

Housing Questions

When you click on this link a complete list of residential buildings, addresses, and housing managers is listed.

Facilities Questions

When you click on this link, the R&M Questions & Comments Form displays. Enter your question or comment about a work order or other repair issue.

Submit

After you enter your information, click on the Submit button.

The Display Building Repair Form screen will appear displaying the work order number created for your repair request and all the information you just entered about the repair request.

Clear Form

When you click the Clear Form button, your previous entries will be cleared and you can begin to enter a new repair request.

Print This Page

If you want a copy of your entries, click the Print this Page button.


Search for Building

To search for a building, you can enter either a building number or a building name.

Building No.: Enter the building number, for example: 18.

Result: When you click on the Search button, the Search Results will display all buildings with 18 in the name.

Building Name: Enter the name of the building, for example: hayden

Result: When you click on the Search button, the Search Results will display all buildings with "hayden" in the name.

In the Search Results list, click on the building you want. You return to the Building Repair Form and the Building No. field is filled in with your selection.


Building Repair Status

Use this screen to check the status of your repair request.

Tip: When you submitted your request, you received an e-mail message. It contained the work order number, a link to the repair status page and also a link to either E-mail Housing Managers or Facilities Questions.

1. Enter information for both the Work Order Number and Problem Building.

2. Click on the Search button.

Result: The Building Repair Status screen displays showing the status of the work order, the team assigned to work on the repair, comments to the customer (if any), and your previous entries.

The statuses are:

  • New Order
  • Cancelled
  • In Progress
  • Transferred to Another Group
  • Closed
