EXPECTATIONS:
- Expected to communicate with the teacher on a scheduled basis
- Respond to questions, list serve, etc. in a timely fashion
- Make classroom visits
- Give a tour of your boat (if requested)
- Take samples for class (if requested)
- Attend meetings
- Take digital images for class and MIT Sea Grants Adopt-a-Boat

Teachers
BENEFITS:
- Engage students in an authentic learning project
- Understand and form a partnership with a commercial fisherman
- Utilize real time data for class projects

EXPECTATIONS:
- Filter questions to the captain (ex. 1 email from teacher, not
20 from the class)
- Post summaries of your work posted to list serve
- Ideas for future topics, subjects, what you find useful/not useful,
standards
- Identify resources you used to supplement your classroom activities
- Email and web capabilities
- Attend meetings
- Field trip to boat and/or host Captain in the classroom
- Participate in profile interview
