Sea Grant Symposium on the Alexandrium Red Tide of 2005

Introduction

MIT Sea Grant College Program is hosting a one-day Symposium on the 2005 Alexandrium red tide bloom. The purpose of this meeting is to bring together the scientific, regulatory, and fishing communities to share lessons learned from the 2005 bloom as we prepare for the 2006 shellfishing season. Since the 2005 bloom was so widespread, presenters are invited from New Brunswick, Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. The symposium is scheduled for April 18, 2006, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM at MIT's Bartos Auditorium (building E15). This meeting is open to the public, but pre-registration is required.
