Message from Dean Fitzgerald
This past January, I was delighted and honored to accept the Kenan Sahin Deanship of SHASS, after serving as interim dean since last summer. SHASS is a vibrant, eclectic, and stimulating place in which to live and work, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to lead this wonderful group of faculty, students, and staff.
This issue of soundings focuses on energy studies: a topic that is both timely and vitally important to our shared future. I’m proud of the important work that we do in this area, and I hope you will be pleasantly surprised by the impact that we’re already having in this field.
