Why adopting from a shelter is such a good idea

  1. It's cheap! I cost only $51.25 ($25.00 donation, $25.00 neutering fee, $1.25 tax) Compare this to hundreds of dollars for a pet store pup, who probably won't even be healthy.

  2. You're doing the world a favor! Dog overpopulation leads to abandonment, abuse, and more serious crimes against animals. Give a homeless animal a home, and help reduce the problem. (Spaying and neutering helps here, too)

  3. You're helping to put puppy mills out of business. No demand=No supply.

  4. You'll feel great knowing that you've saved your pet from death, abuse, or worse.

  5. No time to housebreak? Adopt an older dog that's already housebroken. Shelters have'em!

  6. Can't decide on a breed? Get a dog that's a little bit of everything! Also, shelters have purebreds as well as mutts. If you can't find one that suits you, come back next week - there will be more.
