Steve Rusckowski

CEO, Philips Healthcare
Executive VP, Royal Philips Electronics

Steve Rusckowski is Chief Executive Officer of Philips Healthcare and a member of the Board of Management. Philips Healthcare is a €9B/$11B global medical technology company employing over 35,000 people.

Before joining Philips, Mr. Rusckowski held numerous management positions within the healthcare division of Hewlett-Packard/Agilent Technologies. He was the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Agilent's Healthcare Solutions Group when Philips acquired the business in 2001. Prior to joining Hewlett-Packard he began his career at Procter and Gamble

Previously, Mr. Rusckowski was the CEO of the Imaging Systems business group of Philips Healthcare.

He is a board member of AdvaMed, Project HOPE, the Focused Ultrasound Surgery Foundation and Harvard Medical School's Sleep Medicine Board.

Mr. Rusckowski holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and a Masters in Management Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Peter Hecht, Ph.D.

CEO, Ironwood Pharmaceutical

Peter M. Hecht has served as our chief executive officer since our founding in 1998. Prior to founding Ironwood, Dr. Hecht was a research fellow at Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research. Dr. Hecht serves on the board of directors of Whitehead Institute and also serves on the Leadership Council for The David H. Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Hecht earned a B.S. in mathematics and an M.S. in biology from Stanford University, and holds a Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of California at Berkeley.

Harvey Berger

Chairman and CEO, ARIAD Pharmaceuticals

Harvey J. Berger, M.D. is our principal founder and has served as our Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer since April 1991, and served as our President from April 1991 to September 2003 and from December 2004 to present. From 1986 to 1991, Dr. Berger held a series of executive management positions at Centocor, Inc., a biotechnology company, including Executive Vice President and President, Research and Development Division. He has also held senior academic and administrative appointments at Emory University, Yale University and the University of Pennsylvania and was an Established Investigator of the American Heart Association, Inc. Dr. Berger currently is a member of the Dean's Council of Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Berger received his A.B. degree in Biology from Colgate University and his M.D. degree from Yale University School of Medicine and did further medical and research training at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Yale-New Haven Hospital.
