Collaborating Institutions

The Deshpande Center at MIT:
The Innovation Centre is modeled after the Deshpande Center at MIT.  For further information about the Deshpande Center, please visit its website: http://web.mit.edu/deshpandecenter.  Charles Cooney, the Faculty Director and Leon Sandler, the Executive Director of the MIT Deshpande Center for Technological Innovation are Members of the Advisory Board/Selection Committee of the Innovation Centre.  Strong linkages exist between both institutions.

MIT:
As an accelerator of emerging technology, the SMART Innovation Centre will broadly collaborate with MIT and link to the environmental ecosystem in the Boston Cambridge area. 

NUS, NTU, SIM, SMU, SUTD, Polytechnics:
The Centre will also broadly collaborate with Universities and Research Institutions in Singapore.

NUS ILO:
The SMART Centre has an IP Management contract with the NUS Industry Liaison Office(ILO) to provide certain patenting and licensing services for SMART.   In collaboration with the Director of Innovation Centre, the NUS ILO will also provide such services to projects funded by the Innovation Grants and the Explorer Grants.
