The ISCM Program hosts events which bring the sponsors together to share learnings, research findings and penetrate a specific set of supply chain issues. The events emphasize collaboration and take various forms:

  • Exchange Meetings bring the sponsors together to share Best Practices on a specific area within the supply chain. We accomplish this through presentations from leading academic researchers and industry practitioners, sponsor problem solving sessions, sponsor best practice reviews and facilitated discussions.

  • Workshops and Symposiums bring sponsors together with other research groups to collectively explore a set of issues within the supply chain. We accomplish this through presentations from academia, industry and site visits.

  • Research Colloquiums bring sponsors together with MIT faculty and researchers to discuss research into a specific issue or domain.
  • Supply Chain Reviews bring sponsors together at a sponsor site for an in-depth review of the host company's supply chain. This also provides the host with the opportunity to solicit input and applicable learnings from the various sponsors.

  • Executive Education Sessions provide education from logistics and supply chain fundamentals to thought leadership in supply networks, including exposure to the state-of-art supply chain learnings from academia and industry.

  • Audioconferences bring sponsors together each quarter to share supply chain updates and progress among the sponsors, providing a forum for regular exchange without the significant investment in travel time required for face-to-face meetings.

Overall, the events facilitate and emphasize sharing learnings across industry and applying industry and research findings to sponsor situations.

We welcome companies interested in research and exchange to improve their supply chain performance. Please contact us if you would like to learn more about how your company can participate and benefit from our work.
