Adèle Naudé Santos, FAIA, is dean of the School of Architecture and Planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Previously, as professor at the University of California, Berkeley, College of Environmental Design, she taught the design of housing environments, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration. She was founding dean at the University of California at San Diego School of Architecture, architecture chair at the University of Pennsylvania, and taught at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design, Rice University, and has had many visiting appointments. She is principal architect in the San Francisco-based firm, Santos Prescott and Associates. She received an AA Diploma from the Architectural Association in London, Master of Architecture in Urban Design from Harvard, and Master of Architecture and Master of City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania.
