Clearwater Moments

In collaboration with Hudson River Sloop Clearwater and WAMC/Northeast Public Radio, Terrascope Youth Radio interns produced a weekly series of short pieces about the environment to be broadcast in the "Clearwater Moments" segment of Northeast Public Radio's afternoon news programming. The series lasted roughly two months, and was heard by tens of thousands of listeners in seven states. Here are some of the segments we produced:

Introducing Terrascope Youth Radio by Tracey Hayse
An introduction to Terrascope Youth Radio for regular “Clearwater Moments” listeners.

R-U-Green by Alexandros Zervos
How far are you really willing to go to protect the environment?

The River Didn’t Kill Me by Elliott Memmi
A tale of a science experiment that didn’t go hideously wrong.

Toilets and the Harbor by Eitan Stern-Robbins
Did you know that toilets were invented before we had sewers to carry away the waste? Where did it all go?

Eco-Fashion by Nephtali Dehoux and Sybil Gelin
What you wear makes a difference for the environment.

Bottled Water by Hichem Hadjeres
Everybody needs water to drink; does it matter whether it comes from a bottle or the tap?

Green Streets by Eitan Stern-Robbins
A group that tries to get people to commit to green modes of transportation, even just for one day per month.
