In the top figure, a magnetic monopole suddenly appears above a thin conducting plane. Intially the region below the plane is shielded from the magnetic field, but as time progresses, the field slowly diffuses into the region below the plane. There is a short pause at the beginning of the movie when we hold everything fixed, and then the field begins to difuse into the region z < 0. The images are color coded according to the magnitude of the magnetic field, ranging from very strong (white) to very low (black), with an over all blue hue. The bottom figure is similar, except now the magnetic monopole appears in the first quadrant of the four quandrants formed by two perpendicular thin conducting sheet, and its magnetic field subsequently diffuses into the other three quadrants.
