Ice573: f = 0.713; Flint#12:OK#1 = 2:1

New news: post-test composition: f is not uniform:

f (bulk) = 0.708; f(lower half) = 0.692 ; f(upper half) = 0.726. Also: sample is smoothly tapered from top-to-bottom (in addition to the bottom bulge), which suggests a gradient in f.

Conditions: all steps T = 223 K
P = 60 MPa, s = 30 MPa step (1a), (1b), (1c)
P = 100 MPa, s = 50 MPa step (2)

After: photos show that deformation was non-uniform. Careful measurements of diameter will show how it was distributed. Jacket perforation occurred at ridge against bottom end cap.

565 had similar non-uniformity (and also showed non-reproducible rheology). I think we have a case here that the mobility transition is so sharp in f space that small variations in f in a sample can have big rheological effects.
