MIT Wind Energy Projects in Action

Beginning in the fall of 2010, MIT WEPA partnered with the city of Cambridge to perform a wind resource assessment and feasibility study for a site at Danehy Park. The project began with instrumentation of a lightpole near the top of the park's hill. Data collection began in November of 2010, and has continued through 2011. The analysis prepared for the city includes wind resource, financial, and community and environmental impact.
