Packing a sewing machine

This 115 was nearly flawless before shipping. The sender had decided to toss in a few accessories (including a large pair of shears) as a bonus, putting them into the base under the machine. One of the hinges holding the machine onto the base failed, letting everything that had been stored underneath escape into the case. The machine arrived covered with scratches, chips and deep gouges where the free-floating shears damaged it throughout its international journey. Never ever put loose object in the same case or box when shipping a sewing machine! They will find a way to get loose!
