Packing a sewing machine

It's never a good sign when a box rattles upon arrival. This machine was packed completely loose in a single layer cardboard box with only two large sheets of crumpled paper to protect it. Not surprisingly, it arrived with its hand wheel broken clean off the arm shaft. Cast iron is brittle and can crack and shatter easily.
