Neville finishes walking the glass Pattern in Faerie and commands it to transport him to the beginning of the Primal Pattern. Nothing happens.
Cailin turns into a yeti and runs through the mage attacking them. Natasha, Cailin, and the kid head back to Amber.
Zack wakes up, is told that the battle is going well, and decides to take a nap. He lies back down and falls asleep. Jean goes into the castle to get a blanket and pillow and tucks Zack in.
Cailin, Natasha, and the kid arrive.
Cailin - "Jean - what's going on?"
Natasha - "Do you have the time for that?"
A clock appears.
Jean tractors the clock into the water, under the water, looks at the clock -- it's still working -- then does a pass through Rebma, dropping off the coo-coo clock part way. Jean's trip is a lot bumpier than usual -- he's bouncing off a lot of walls. The sharks give Jean a lot more trouble - he can only move forwards and out the mouth. He can't move it, so casts a levitate spell on the shark and flies around with it as armor. A column of snow is drifting down onto the levitating shark. It has Ilk's signature, and follows the shark.
Cailin writes up the clock situation and asks Jean to fish the write-up to Jenoir.
Jean is very pleased with his new shark. He fumbles around until he finds Tremere. He casts a bug on the nose of the shark and explores. The snow continues; Jean continues farther away from Amber. Eventually he reaches water where the snow stops.
When Cailin finds out how close Jenoir is, he yetis out, grabs wife and child, and runs to Arden, where he changes back. Cailin talks with Jenoir about the snow. Cailin accidentally says, "time", and a clock appears. Cailin explains the clock thing. Jean suggests that it might be an attack on Melk. Jenoir suggests that Melk might disapprove of that idea, and suggests that someone should offer the idea.
The Jean near the King of Chaos says, "Lord Melchizedik, are you free?" Nothing happens. All Jean try, and there is a brief fluttering of Melk everywhere until he determines which Jean, then coalesces in Arden. Another clock is summoned during the explanation. Melk looks around and says, "Perhaps it is time that I look into this." A coo-coo clock appears. "I see where that came from. Thank you very much." He, and the three other coo-coo clocks, disappear.
One of Neville's fetishes in the Golden Circle just completely stopped reporting back.
Suhuy notices the equivalent of a sticky note on the Realms Lord's shared brain-space. "There is now one less Golden Circle kingdom. Suhuy, please do not be mad with me."
Neville tries to transport himself back to Arden with the reality engine. He fails, but can at least access the reality engine from here.
Cailin continues to ask Jenoir about the snow. Jenoir says that she and Andron were discussing it when he came over. Cailin says that he'll just leave Amber, is reminded of the battle in the garden, and says that he has received omens that suggest that he should avoid it.
Neville asks Titania if there is anything he can do, because he's getting bored. There is a twist, and he finds himself in front of the glassy Pattern. He's not quite energetic enough to walk the Pattern again. He tries to draw upon the Pattern via the reality engine, and charges up.
Suhuy notices a polite tap outside his ways. It's Melk. Suhuy invites him in.
"If you run into the Savior of Chaos, whom I seem unable to locate at the moment, could you tell him that one of the Houses seems to be meddling in our affairs."
"Which one?"
"Helgram."
"Again?"
"Possibly still."
Suhuy reaches out and contacts Savior of Chaos.
"Savior of Chaos asked me to mention to you that the white-winged-statue-person situation has been dealt with."
"Good, good. I'm sure that he will make a full report at the next Realms Lord meeting."
Osric was having a conversation with the death cloud.
When Neville has enough energy to walk the glassy Pattern in Faerie again, he does so.
The Morganti are still wreaking havoc upon the angels in the celestial city. Almost everything in Vanir's Wrath has been stomped. Verra has returned and stomped everything that was opposing her; the entire place worships her, now. There is no sign of Norton anywhere. Even Verra hasn't been able to find him. The librarian has gotten out of his circle of protection and is busily rebuilding the library.
Ferethyn has calmed down, somewhat. Jean and Dworkin are talking; Dworkin is trying to find out what has been going on since he went insane.
Jean asks REN if he would like an excuse to go to Ferethyn's ways. Jean explains the task of re-educating a sane Dworkin. REN is fascinated at the idea, and is fished to Ferethyn's place. Dworkin and REN start talking. Jean tries to listen, but gets distracted. It's really dry.
Dworkin draws a family tree for all of Chaos, from REN's notes.
It looks as if somebody from the outside hit a skin around the garden, and waves propagate along the edge.
A little while later, a single Bun-Bun ear flies out of the garden and lands somewhat near Zack. Cailin takes his bibliomancy token and his family and goes home. Ilk examines the ear; it's just an ear. Jean suggests to Ilk that it might be good luck.
Neville reaches the center of the glassy Pattern a second time. A bed would be very good right about now. He calls up a bed with the reality engine, and a misty cloud appears near him. He goes to sleep, in Faerie.
Cailin is in House Moonlight. It's cold. Cailin turns into a yeti and opens the door. There's a white wall on the other side of the door. He sighs and closes the door.
Cailin discovers a minor discrepancy between his attitude towards reproduction and Natasha's. She wins; Kieron gets to watch.
Suhuy is making significant progress towards studying the seed and the bottle. His possible eventual game plan is to use a marble to make another bottle, toss a disposable person into it, and to try to pour that person out.
An entire dire wolf body is the next thing thrown out of the garden. It's burned, ripped, gutted, and bloody. Jean and Ilk discuss wolves as food.
The moon sets, Tir goes away, the moonbeams pouring into Zack stop, and the sun rises.
Jean discusses the snow and the missing Norton with Jenoir. Jean checks with those watching the view screens; none of the view screens have winked out. Jean sends about an hour worth of tanks to check for rifts on or around ground level.
Jenoir asks for some things from her lab. She points to things on the view screen, and Jean fishes them to her. She starts setting things up; Andron assists her. She suggests that he take a step back, like, say, to the Golden Circle.
Jean tractors Zack into the castle. Ilk takes a Jean and heads into shadow. Jean has a flying squirrel sent into the garden as a messenger. Jean warns Auricle's staff that they should probably enact magical shields. They pull a knife switch.
Nobody can see what they do, but after a while, there is a tap at the castle door. It's Andron. "It's safe to come out now." There is no snow anywhere in sight.
Zack wakes up as Jean puts him down outside again. Zack draws his sword, summons his army of Sidhe soldiers, and rides back into the mess.
Out of the mess comes a flying squirrel, still alive. It looks around with very wide eyes, hesitantly walks over to hamster Gerard, salutes, and falls over. He was grey furred before he went in, he's now white-furred. Jean gets a blanket and pillow for the squirrel.
Ilk is making passes through the Golden Circle, looking for the missing shadow and evil Benedict.
Jean finds lots of bibliomancy talismans and Vanir's Wrath. Verra sends a very jumpy priest with Jean to do his bidding. The priest reads the tokens and disappears. Jean decides to just mark the caches with tanks until Verra has the time to look at them.
