Characters represented by players at this run: Cailin, Ilk, Jean, Neville and Osric.

Neville Persuades Llewella to Be Good

Cailin is trapped in the Rebman Pattern room; Calla and Osric are with the army; Ilk is everywhere but Rebma.

Neville is in the middle of the Primal Pattern. He shouts over the Pattern to a Jean standing nearby and asks him to ask around for tactical advice. Jean checks with Marial's apprentice, but she's busy coordinating the army's retreat from Rebma.

[Wyndham - Marial's apprentice]

Jean checks with Flora. "Nobody really thinks like Llewella - she's the unique sister."

Jean asks Hamster Dierdre and Hamster Osric if they would like to give Neville some advice. They decide to take saucers and shadow-shift across reality, towing two suits of Jean's Frogdelorian armor with them.

Neville considers searching for Llewella with Pattern, but realizes that she would notice the search.

Cailin contemplates methods of escape from the Rebman Pattern room. He considers placing magical gates inside his own body, or having Darkstar envelop him and casting inside of that.

Cailin fools around with a hat, and then places the hat on his head and falls in. There's a big party here. He's not sure where he is, and doesn't see a hat anywhere. He tries to pocket a jar of marbles, but finds that he cannot lift the jar. Cailin tries to yell into the punch bowl that he fell out of. Nothing happens.

Ilk starts simulating thousands of incoming low to mid-level Logrus attackers, just to see what he sets off. Llewella acquires a massive headache. All of her caltrops and alarms have been set off. Ilk starts simulating a full invasion.

Cailin sticks his head through the punch bowl, and finds his head in Rebma. He chats with Darkstar, then drags him through the hat and into the party. Darkstar, still in the form of a bug, fools around in the party until Cailin convinces him to try trumps.

Darkstar trumps Neville. They chat.

Llewella's mages report on the invaders.

Ilk tells Jean of the traps that he's setting off. Jean tells Marial's apprentice. She asks for information on what happens afterwards.

Llewella un-blucites and questions the helmet attached to Neville's armor. The helmet fails to be communicative.

Neville continues to investigate the properties of the Crown and Sword of Amber. He has the impression that someone is thinking of the crown closely, possibly concentrating on the head of it.

For one brief moment, Llewella sees someone standing in the center of the Pattern, who isn't Oberon, wearing the crown and holding the sword of state. Llewella sends back a sense of challenge. Neville wishes that he could have been there, and suddenly is there.

Llewella notices that her blucite room is now bigger by one inhabitant. She now has a really big headache. She is planning on bluciting it.

Neville suddenly sees his armor, coated in blucite, and Llewella.

[The Pattern likes Llewella, so he's out of sword reach]

Llewella notices that the person is wearing the Crown and holding the Sword of State. She pauses.

Neville says that Oberon is no longer King in Amber. Llewella is briefly confused. Neville tries to intimidate her, and mostly fails.

"I need to know --- do you respect the crown and the person who wears it?"

"I have always respected the crown and the person who wears it."

...

"I need to know your name."

"My name is King Eric the Second."

Llewella is greatly amused. Neville realizes that he's still in water, and that he's not having a problem breathing.

Neville questions Llewella. Llewella questions Neville. Neville is blunt. Llewella is devious.

Cailin and Darkstar leave the party and head to the stairs at the top of Tir.

Neville asks Llewella to call off her armies and release her prisoners. She evades, and continues interrogating him. Neville has a sense of revulsion at Llewella's claim that Faythe and Felice are inbred. Neville claims that those inbred are innocent of any crimes, as the crown plays visions of proposed tortures in front of his eyes.

Llewella claims that she is just following Benedict's - the General of Amber's - orders. Neville realizes that Benedict has refused to enter Amber's service, and therefore cannot actually be the General of Amber.

Llewella uncreates the blucite-room, and releases Faythe, Felice, and Neville's armor and swords. The weapons go whimpering up to Neville, who pets them and sends them home, along with his armor.

Neville calls up the Pattern in an attempt at an teleport, and fails. Llewella notices, and asks him why he doesn't use the crown. He asks the crown for a lift, and ends up on the throne. Everyone else stays put, however.

Llewella takes her former prisoners and trumps to Amber. Neville meets her there. A squirrel shows Faythe and Felice to guest rooms; Neville takes Llewella to a library and uses the token given to him by Benedict.

After about five minutes, there is a slight tearing in the fabric of reality, and Benedict steps through, turns back, says, "Thank you, Verra," and the hole closes.

Llewella greets Benedict warmly, and notices that he is in mourning. Llewella is told that Julian died for the good of Amber, and that she was deceived by an impostor.

Benedict tells Llewella that has removed himself from all associations with Amber, since even the memory of his father revolts him, and this place is full of memories.

Benedict tells Neville that, once his period of mourning is completed, he will be resuming his position as head of the Warriors' Guild in Chaos, and that he could be consulted as an ally from Chaos. His blood-line would serve admirably to train up the armies of Amber.

Cailin and Calla talk at the top of Fialla-Bionin.

Neville trumps Cailin and tells him to have the army stand down. Cailin tells Calla and Wyndham. Llewella says that she left both of the boys in Hendrake - he was of no use to him. She doesn't know where Laetatio is.

Neville and Llewella chat.

Wyndham sits down and starts crying. She was apparently looking forwards to her first independent command, and she didn't get to fight.

Two saucers fly up to Amber, carrying two suits of armor in Neville's colors.

Cailin and Darkstar go to the magic-tracking shadow. It's full of clouds. There are lots of different signatures. Many are unknown, and some from people he knew in Cobalt.

Neville asks Llewella to show him how to dismiss blucite. She tells him that is impossible.

Cailin does ? , then goes to the King of Chaos.

Llewella asks for a home outside of the castle, so she can move her library to it for some more privacy. Neville stalls.

Neville contemplates transportation to Chaos. Jean chats back and forth a bit. Silver Lyra pulls out a trump deck, flips through it, and trumps Neville. Some nearby can see that her deck includes all of the House heads.

Neville goes to his rooms, and finds himself in Eric's rooms. Neville puts on his Pattern armor, sends the Crown of Amber to his closet, and has his Morgantis guard it.

Neville gets a trump call. It's Flora. She pulls him through; the Logrus-based trump lights his armor on fire. Flora pats the fire out with a bare hand.

Neville asks Jean to ask Ilk to stop bombarding the Golden Circle with Logrus. Amber is apparently all good now. Ilk heads back to Chaos.

Neville, Jean, and Cailin talk about the mountain of Spam.
