Ilk goes looking for Etienne. The shadow with the pyramid is filled with fat-fingered Logrus tendrils. Ilk winds his way between them to the center of the pyramid, where he finds Etienne in the exact geometric center of the pyramid, in a space that was not there before, that was not carved out with Logrus. It has Etienne's signature all over it. Ilk goes in to say hi.
Ilk talks to Jean. Jean says that Melk and company were sneaking up on the pyramid, which is currently spewing black goo, without looking at it.
Ilk asks Jean about the availability of Rainbow and Silver Lyra. Jean knows that they're in conference, but doesn't know where they are. Jean checks in the Dancers' Guild. Jean talks to REN in his bedroom, and fills him in on the recent events in Thelbane. Jean overhears a report about a full, sudden, mandatory meeting of the Beastmasters' Guild.
Jean and Rainbow discuss the Beastmasters' meeting, and Norton, Faythe, Jean, and Titania decide to attend the meeting as member and sanity escort.
....
Ilk points out to Etienne that his shields would incinerate him should they collapse.
One Ilk is in the pyramid teaching Etienne how to tendri out; one inside the shadow, and one lurking just outside the shadow. Silver Lyra went into the shadow to check things out.
