Major Events:

Characters represented by players at this run: Cassandra, Cathryn, Celeste, Ferro, Ilkandacian, Malachai, Norton and Zack.

I brought my Dad back from the dead and I didn't even get the lousy T-shirt!

Cassandra's tutor pulls Malachai aside and asks after the missing bodyguards. Malachai tells her that they fufilled their duty with great skill, saving Cassandra's life. The tutor asks him if he would tell their sister, Erin, who was left behind. Malachai approaches her and asks if they can chat. He asks her to sit down.

Malachai - "Someone tried to assassinate Cassandra."
Erin - "And I missed it?"
Malachai - "Your sisters were killed."
Erin - "All of them?"
Malachai - "I believe so."

Erin asks Malachai how one tells someone that their fiancee is dead. Malachai tells her that Norton reanimated Denise and Cindy, and that he will try to get them brought back to life if it is possible. Unfortunately, Sasha is the one that is engaged to Burke. They discuss how Burke will handle the loss.

Erin asks for a minute alone, and rests her head in her arms. Malachai looks around - Cassandra and Corwin are in heavy conversation. Cassandra is crying, Corwin is discomfited, and the tutor keeps making faces at Cassandra out of Corwin's line of sight (arching an eyebrow, rolling her eyes, etc)

After her conversation with Corwin, Cassandra goes over to Erin and tries to comfort her. Cassandra and Malachai chat. Corwin has stated that Cassandra must go back to Amber, and has removed Malachai from bodyguard status. They flame about Corwin briefly.

Cassandra tells Malachai that she received a trump call from Cathryn, who said that Eric's at the party, apparently back from the dead in the same way as Corwin. They think that Cassandra is Dierdre, and they trumped through the Barrier. Cassandra invites Malachai to return to Amber with her.

They prepare to leave Pearl. Cassandra thinks that they should tell Burke about the deaths immediately, instead of going to Amber. Malachai introduces himself to Cassandra's tutor. She evades briefly, then replies that her name is Mirelle. She was named for Random's little sister, because those who named her didn't think that she'd last any longer than Mirelle did. Cassandra looks surprised - she was never told her tutor's name.

Cassandra gets a trump call. It's Corwin. She pulls a few bodyguards and then Corwin through to them.

Corwin raises his hands, and the group is at the grassy knoll. Present are two undead moving things, a dead unmoving thing, and Oberon's pavilion. Merlin is not with them. Corwin looks around, says, "This way", and starts walking. The three bodyguards form up around Cassandra, the master at arms at point. Malachai takes up the rear.

It's a lovely, rolling plain, and Corwin is cursing under his breath. He pulls Malachai aside, and whispers to him that he seems to have lost the nack of shifting shadow. Malachai relays Darkstar's concerns and speculations that Corwin may have lost Amber's Pattern due to Julian's spell, and that the only thing that kept him alive afterwards was the imprint of his own Pattern. Corwin asks Malachai how his training of Cassandra in terms of Pattern is going. Malachai says that he has had no time so far, and Corwin suggests that now might be a good time to start. Malachai proceeds to lead the group through shadow, instructing Cassandra in the technique as they go. They head towards a place where Cassandra can get a new dress and get cleaned up.

Beldin Arrives at the Pattern Party

Ferro is walking around under a chair in the pattern of the Pattern. As he walks, the floor beneath him seems to be changing - after a loop, his end point isn't the same place as his last end point.

Ferro notices that George, the golem, is having an argument with Velaria. The golem wants her to take the baby so he can achieve his purpose in life and dissolve, but Velaria doesn't want to take the baby until after the party. Ferro tries to convince Velaria to take the baby, and says that he won't give her any more drinks if she doesn't take it. She refuses to take the baby, and heads back out into the party. The golem follows her, nagging her to take the baby.

Ferro proceeds to hang out at the party, and bugs lots of people.

This strange hunchback approaches Cathryn.

Cathryn - "You're not dead."
Hunchback - "Hope not."
Cathryn - "Where's Dierdre?"
Hunchback - "Was it my turn to watch her?"

He smells like he hasn't bathed for several hundred years, so Cathryn shifts her nose away. The hunchback wanders off, muttering disparaging remarks about Amberites.

Cathryn is trying to find Mirelle now, to make her daddy happy.

A small hunch-backed individual comes up to Celeste.

Celeste - "Wow, you're short."
Hunchback - "And you're a redhead. Wanna make something of it?"

He is vaguely threatening, and complains about Amberites.

Hunchback - "Are you on anything?"
Celeste - "The floor."
Hunchback - "Figures."

She calls him short again.

He looks at her and says a word, and power gathers around her, and she has a moment of clarity. She calls for Clarissa over the channel. No answer. There is an ugly, misshapen dwarf in front of her, and it's not Dworkin.

He introduces himself as Beldin, and asks her to introduce him to Random - Random woke him up. She turns around, and as her eyes leave his, her moment of clarity slips.

Beldin threatens to feed her to the punch bowl if she looks away from him again. She summons a servant, carefully staring at the hunchback, and sends him off after Random. The Ferro bug in Celeste's hair chats with her. Ferro looks for Random, and finds that he's not in the room. Ferro asks Flora to come over and help Celeste out.

Ferro tries to bug Beldin. Beldin grabs the Ferro-mosquito, inspects it, and puts it on his shoulder next to some grubs that he can eat. They chat, Beldin talking directly to the bug.

Flora and Beldin chat. Ferro expresses confusion about Beldin's threats involving the punch bowl. Celeste denies being afraid of the punch bowl. Beldin looks away, and Celeste's moment of clarity goes away. He waves the bowl at her, and she cries, "No more punch bowls!" and runs off.

Pursuing Norton/Eric/Snarsht

Zack is hellriding on his shag flying carpet, chasing after the sword that he conjured for Eric. He's getting very tired - those he is following are going all over the place, with no particular pattern to their movements.

Ilk sees Zack moving in the other direction through shadow and stops to wave. Zack waves back, and Ilk says, "You're going the wrong way", and pulls off in pursuit of Snarsht and whatever happens to be in Norton's body at the moment.

Zack sees a shadow creature wave at him in a shadow where airbreathers normally have a hard time (good thing that carpet has air conditioning), and he waves back. It gargles something at him, and then moves off, cross-shadow. Zack tries to follow it, and fails. Zack continues hellriding through shadow, sucking magical energy from shadow sources to keep his energy up.

[Tinkerbell died because of you]

Norton's having fun. Occasionally Eric gets distracted enough that Norton can slip a bit through, like shifting away a foot, such that Eric falls over when he tries to move. Norton starts trying to shift that nasty Pattern away.

Randomized

Cathryn wanders over to a little girl that might be Mirelle. "You're not Zack" "Are you Mirelle?" The girl says that she was dead, but that Zack made her better. She says that her daddy said that she had to grow up to become king. Cathryn tries to convince the girl that she's Mirelle, Random's sister. That one turns to the other vacant-minded females near her and proclaims loudly that they're all princesses of Amber because they were dead and that she is going to be queen.

Cathryn trumps Random. He's yodeling in the center of what looks like a big cheesecake. She tells him that she found someone who might be Mirelle. "Is that Mirelle?" "No, that's a vapid." They talk in circles, both too randomized to notice. Random accuses Cathryn of being on something. Random tells Cathryn to ask Corwin about Mirelle, since he was dead once, too.

Celeste wonders about all of the legs around her, and then stands up. There are a bunch of ambassadors near her. One greets her. Celeste returns his greeting enthusiastically. He introduces himself as the ambasasdor from Begma. He claims that his kingdom is in a blood feud with the kingdom that has a blood feud with her, asks if she would like an alliance. "O-kay." He asks for her hand on it, and holds out his hand. She pokes at his hand, giggles, and wanders off.

The vapids come up to Celeste and talk. Celeste goes wandering off calling for Zack, then gives up and trumps him.

Catching Snarsht, et alii

Zack answers the trump call, in the hope that it's Eric so he can acquire ringside seats. But it's a formless connect, and sounds like Titania. She says that she tried to rescue him from that place where he was, and that effort left her drained, but that she is recovering. When Zack tells Titania that he was the one who helped her, she replies, "I am glad that I long since made you a prince of my realm".

She says that she managed to reach him through the services of an individual in need of rescue, a person by the name of Darkstar. She believes that he is prisoned in the Dancers' Guild. Titania made a bargain with Darkstar that she would reach Zack and relay that message to him, in return for something else.

Zack mentions his current search through shadow for one of his uncles who is being pursued by some Chaosians. Titania offers to help Zack rescue this uncle. Zack explains that he isn't necessarily going to help one side or the other, but that he thinks that an Amberite witness would be appropriate. Titania volunteers to help him track them, and possibly transport him to the scene. When Titania discovers that Eric is the one pursued, she says that she would like to join in to settle a few old scores. When Titania discovers that Snarsht is the pursuer, she says, "Snarsht? I'm not getting involved".

Zack is getting another trump call. He apologizes to Titania for the possible interuption, and takes it. It's Celeste. Celeste makes contact with Zack and Titania. Zack notices that Celeste's mind is all mushy. In the back of Celeste's mind, she feels something stirring. It's very cold, very analytical, and very ancient. Zack notices Titania doing something to Celeste. Ferro, also in the contact through his bug in Celeste's hair, sees Titania slowly reading and following pathways. Zack asks Titania not to break Celeste - he's not done with her yet.

Celeste tells Zack that there are a bunch of princesses at the party who came back from the dead and he did it. Zack tells her that Norton did it. She asks Zack if she can come through, and with that thought, she is on the carpet. The Ferro in her hair comes with, too. Celeste tries to teleport them to Norton and fails, not knowing her current location or their destination. When Celeste came through the trump, the thing in the back of her mind went away.

They start shifting through shadow, and Zack has a feeling of impending doom. He starts raising generic wards.

Ilk has mostly caught up with Snarsht. He sees Snarsht throw Eric locally, and observes that Eric's trajectory would take him through a certain shag carpet. Ilk yanks on the carpet with a Logrus tendril, pulling them out of Eric's path.

Zack isn't sure if his wards worked, but he's about eight hundred yards away from where he was just a moment ago. Eric sails through where they just were, leaving a wake of destruction behind him, and lands like a lawn dart.

Norton takes advantage of this distraction to shift the Pattern out of Eric, who falls into a bunch of little spam-ish cubes. Eric is gone. Norton starts gathering himself back up.

Zack drifts in the direction of the spam, and there is a distortion in the shadow and Snarsht steps through. Zack nods appropriately, and the bug bows as well. Snarsht pushes the pieces closer together with his paw.

Ilk arrives.

Zack looks for Pattern in the body - none. He looks for Real things. The pile of stuff is Real, Snarsht is Real, Celeste is Real, and the bug in her hair is Real. The figure that just arrived is not quite as Real as the others. This place is fairly Real, at about Dragaera-level.

The cubes arrange themselves into eyes. Celeste enjoys watching them shift.

Back at the Party

Corwin, Cassandra, and entorage are announced at the party. Cathryn heads towards them. About when they reach each other, Benedict is announced, and Ingold walks in. Cathryn tries to call Clarissa, and Cassandra trumps Malachai.

Ingold reaches back, grabs the servant, lifts him off his feet, hold him in front of him, and reiterates, Ingold, son of Benedict. Ingold drops the servant and announces, "Marshall of Amber".

Malachai gets a trump call from Serena as he is walking towards his rooms. They chat briefly, and he pulls her through. Ferro notices that the gargoyles that were guarding her are trying to burrow a hole through the roof. Ferro complains to Gillian, and she grabs one of the gargoyles in her mouth. The other starts attacking her, and Gillian moves the first gargoyle to block the second one's attacks.

Clarissa arrives in the ballroom. Cathryn points to Ingold and blames the rock on him.

Clarissa - "This is your fault?"
Ingold - "Yeah?"
Clarissa - "Then it's your problem."

She tosses the rock to Ingold and leaves.

Cathryn tries to get Ingold to undo the rock, with minimal success. Ingold seems to be enjoying the discomfort that the demons are causing his father.

Ingold pulls out a completely clear crystalline globe and hands it to Cathryn, saying that this is a suitable Pattern party present. He demonstrates its utility by making a magical attack on her, and the globe blocks the attack and darkens slightly. He tells her that the globe will clear over time, and that it will only work for her.

Malachai gets a trump call from Cassandra while Serena is rebandaging his shoulder. Cassandra tells him that Ingold has just arrives at the party.

Ingold and Cassandra chat. Cathryn joins in.

Cassandra gives Cathryn her present. It's a crystal necklace that can change colors. Rainbow colors start chasing around the necklace. Cathryn puts it on. Corwin hands Cathryn a very nice circlet with the Jesby arms worked through it in an intricate manner. She puts it on, and asks Corwin about dead people, because he was dead.

Corwin convinces Cathryn to take the blue pills that he gave her earlier. There are a couple of explosions in her head, and she is in full possession of her faculties. She realizes that she has just taken a drink from a glass selected randomly from an unknown waiter at a party at which there was an assassin. She metabolizes an antidote for the alcohol.

Cathryn makes a public announcement, saying that she forgives Cassandra for insulting her earlier, and states that she is glad that Cassandra is alive and the assassin did not succeed. She then turns to Corwin and Cassandra and says that Flora told her to say that.

Cassandra and Cathryn chat.

Malachai is announced as son of Corwin, Warden of Arden, and heir apparent. Serena is announced with her titles, and they both enter. Flora and Flora both start heading towards Malachai.

Malachai - "It's good to have at least one of you back in the castle"

There is a scream. It sounds like a battle cry, and Theraat launches herself at the golem.

Most of the paranoid sorts look around to see if that was a distraction for something.

Stacking Spam

Ilk wanders over to Zack, shifting into his normal human form as he walks. They chat briefly. Zack says that he wants to talk to Ilk when they get back to Amber. Celeste goggles at Ilk's shifting, so he starts running an arm through some test patterns to keep her entertained.

Norton modulates some air and says, "Zack - I managed to get the vapids back for you."

Zack starts to head out and return to Amber, and Snarsht moves his tail to block the carpet's path. Snarsht is watching everything but the stack of spam. Ilk starts Logrus-stacking the chunks of spam in the right order.

Celeste tries to trump her father. Zack covers the multi-colored cards and tries to distract her, and then places a piece of opaque paper between her eyes and the card.

Norton starts using Logrus to pull the bits of himself into the right order. Ilk accelerates the process.

The piece of paper starts looking like someone is drawing a picture of Bleys in crayon on it. Zack puts a picture of Darkstar in front of Celeste. She looks at it, and is sucked through. She's in a nicely appointed place. Nothing is the same way twice.

Ilk notices that Norton is copying what he is doing, down to his Logrus signature. Norton notices that he is more sane than usual and has a better grasp of technical language, and tries to become more so. Ilk notices that Norton is shifting into him, and tells him to stop that. Norton starts heading down a compromise path.

Snarsht's attention focuses down through Norton's eyes, and is giving him assistance on how to shift his parts together more efficiently.

Norton notices a bit of insanity in the redhead that was on the carpet.

Zack looks at Snarsht and asks, "And is there anything else that I can be doing for you, milord?" "STAY"

Gwen Dust

Norton, looking around, notices a bit of a pattern floating around that isn't quite sane. It doesn't appear to be human, and appears to be conscious but not particularly sentient. It's coming more and more into focus, and becoming more and more sentient. Ilk can't see it. Norton notices that it appears to be concentrating on that pile of white dust over there. He points out the pile to the others. Zack takes a look at the pile, and notices that there's power pouring into it. It appears to be drinking power from everything around it. It's not sane. Norton categorizes that form of insanity - it's megalomania. He decides to avoid it.

Norton apologizes to Snarsht for dragging him away from his business yet again.

Zack and Ilk look at the dust, and they both put up wards to keep the dust from drawing power. Norton shifts into his undead form, and sets the dust on fire. Snarsht is amused that Norton would use that form of shaping to achieve that kind of objective. Zack notices that his Jewel appears heavier - it appears to have gotten heavier precisely when he put the ward up.

Norton tries to reach out tendrils searching for the Jewels that were scattered across shadow by Eric. Ilk warns him of the dangers of reaching for Pattern artifacts with Logrus. Norton shifts into a Corwinish-form and puts a bit of Pattern in his tendril. Zack gets an odd sensation, like the sliver of a scream in his head, for just a moment, and then it is gone. The only Jewel that Norton can find is Zack's.

Snarsht moves his tail, looks at everyone, and Logrus-pulls them all across shadow. Zack hurts. Snarsht says, "It was approaching, to see why its tendril was no more".

Zack mentions familiarity with that enemy, named Gwen, and Ilk questions Zack about it. There is an accretion of white dust on Zack's carpet after he says her name twice. Zack dustbusters it up, and Norton lights it on fire.

Shifter Trap

Snarsht tells Norton that he should go home soon, and Norton asks Snarsht to show him what home looks like so he can find it. The terrain itself begins to change around them.

Norton starts reaching after Celeste. Ilk sends a tendril in following Norton's. They find Celeste. Ilk conjures a note for her. She sees some pretty lines, and turns the lines into a puppy dog. Ilk notices that his note now bears a picture of Bleys. Ilk withdraws the note, Celeste grabs at it, and Ilk ends up next to Celeste. He's in a shifter's trap, and anything having to do with shifting, Logrus, or magic hurts, a lot. Ilk starts losing control over his form. Norton conjures a note at the end of his tendril. Celeste turns it into a kitty cat, and Norton sees a picture of Fiona. Norton is pulled into the trap as well and is in severe pain, but maintains his form more successfully than Ilk. Ilk tries to Logrus-pull out, but doesn't have enough energy left. He tries to use Stormy's trump, but it doesn't work here. Norton tries to shift some Pattern into himself, and stabilizes his form somewhat.

Zack says, "Maybe we should go help them". Snarsht says, "NOW" and jumps, and he doesn't get any bigger, and the carpet doesn't get any smaller, but the entire carpet fits inside Snarsht's mouth. Zack passes through Snarsht without encountering any internal organs, just darkness, and then he's in the Courts of Chaos. Snarsht is not with him.

Norton tries to fix that insanity in Celeste. and does so. Celeste becomes sober. She discovers that she has no trumps, sees Ilk's trump lying on the ground, picks it up, observes that it is powered by magic instead of anything useful, and drops it.

Ilk tries to unrack spells hoping to hit a teleport, and fails to escape. This place is eating the spells as soon as he unracks them. He starts cannibalizing racked spells for energy, and doesn't collapse as quickly as he was before.

Norton shows Ilk a trump of a place near the Abyss, and asks if it will help. "Yes". Norton tries the trump, and vanishes.

Zack's in front of Benedict. Benedict has a sword at Zack's throat. Zack greets his uncle enthusiastically, who relaxes. Zack acquires Benedict's help for a rescue mission, being very non-specific, as there are countless demons that could be listening in.

Norton tries to anchor to the ground and send a tendril to find Ilk. He can't find Ilk. He looks for Celeste, and succeeds. He conjures a note, asking her to grab Ilk. She does so during one of his solid moments, writes, "NOW", and Norton pulls both of them out of the trap.

Ilk discovers that he is in his avatar form, a toroid of plasma, which is currently cool enough due to lack of energy that it doesn't even burn Celeste, who was holding it. He asks for power from Celeste, receives enough to reach cross-shadow, and starts bootstrapping himself up. Ilk anchors Celeste, Norton, and himself on lots of places. Norton anchors Celeste and himself, and does the Pattern thing. Both Ilk and Celeste yell at him about that, and he drops the Pattern thing. Celeste trumps Darkstar using one of his trumps, and fails. It's not a trump block - there is something actively blocking her. Ilk gets an impression of Rainbow's mind, and the contact shatters. Ilk warns the others that the Rainbow, an Old Lord, seems to be actively guarding the trap, and that he's not a good being to annoy.

Celeste starts drawing a trump sketch of Darkstar.

Ilk and Norton anchor, and Ilk reaches out for a Stormy trump. He retrieves a stick from House Cara. It's a familiar stick, but it's only a trump, and it's inactive. Ilk reaches again, and encounters lots of resistance. He pushes harder. After a bit, he withdraws, and discovers that he has the card. He examines the trump briefly to make sure that it's not really Rainbow, and then tucks the card away.

Norton and Ilk anchor Celeste. She trumps Darkstar using her newly drawn trump. She's in contact with the scream, and a feedback loop is set up. She tries to reach both through the channels and through the trump to grab Darkstar. Ilk doesn't think that they'll be able to hold Celeste for very long.

Norton shifts a demon into Darkstar and tosses him through the trump, hoping to give the real Darkstar a body to inhabit. When the demon hits the other end of the contact, the scream becomes louder and there is more Darkstar than there was before.

[I've got a lunatic behind me. Keep pulling.]

Norton tosses another shifted demon through, and the scream increases again.

Celeste tries to teleport Darkstar out, and disappears. Ilk notices her slip through his fingers, and starts accumulating more power.

Ilk notices that someone noticed that he was tapping a power source at House Cara.

Norton and Ilk anchor; Norton sends a note to Celeste. A conversation happens on the note, they start reeling her out, and then stop at her request. Celeste tries to figure out how to grab Darkstar so she can pull him out with her. She tries to call Clarissa, no luck. She finishes her mostly drawn trump of Cassandra, and trumps her.

[Log note: Darkstar was banished from the Courts for pissing off several Old Lords. He bet that he could make trumps that could always contact their subject, regardless of how thoroughly the subject shifted, and won. Rainbow was one of those Old Lords]

Ingold and Cassandra Join Celeste and Try to Free Darkstar

Dutch is approaching Cassandra, arm in arm with the guardsman who flirted with her earlier. She gets a trump call, and gladly takes it. It's very weak and distant, and from Celeste, who is trying to rescue Darkstar. Cassandra tries to reinforce the contact by concentrating on Celeste's trump, and the contact goes down. Cassandra chats with Corwin, who calls over Ingold.

A single clear window is drilled right through into Celeste's mind. It's Ingold. They chat briefly.

Ingold turns to Cassandra and looks at her, then turns to Corwin and says that he's taking his subcommander with him, if it's okay with him.

The window opens up in Celeste's mind, and she sees Ingold and Cassandra step out through her eyes.

Cassandra's old fears of falling and the dark kick in, and she screams briefly. Celeste and Cassandra chat. As far as Celeste can tell, Ingold isn't there.

Ingold - "Watch my back."
Cassandra - "Where is it?"
Ingold - "Mentally."

Celeste tries to watch what Cassandra is doing. Cassandra notices this and shuts her out.

Celeste notices that the scream is beginning to dim, as if there is cotton wrapped around her receptors.

Celeste - "Is your friend doing that?"
Cassandra - "Doing what?"

Cassandra activates her dark saber, and the rest of the chamber becomes lighter.

House Helgram Attacks Two Members of House Cara. Film at Eleven.

There is motion as something pushes through the demons. It's some people from House Cara. Ilkandacian prepares to move away, to avoid being nonconsensually confirmed as head of House, when he notices some folks from House Helgram approaching. Norton senses hostility. When Ilk realizes that there are thirty or forty from Helgram, including one person who hasn't lost a duel in over eight hundred years, another person who was passed over by Suhuy for the some of the advanced study that Ilk has received, and quite a few other powerful and generally hostile beings, he summons a company of troops from Home. Norton starts turning demons into Ventrue and other useful vampire types.

Norton is still in contact with those inside the trap. Ilkandacian tells Norton that they need to clear out, and Norton tells those inside that the two of them are about to be attacked and need to move, and drops the tendril. They start moving. Ilk grabs the House Cara members that were approaching him and pulls them in to prevent them from being munched by the Helgram forces.

Norton starts making Godzillas and Mothras, then some Triallas, then Snarshts. Norton makes a few Amberite reinforcements, about eight or nine Erics.

Ilk starts generating a shadow storm.

Norton makes a few scouts, mostly wyrms, and sends them out to look for other enemy troops.

Ilk gets a status report from the highest ranking House Cara member present. He is addressed as head of House, not acting head, but decides that now is not the time to correct him.

Two of the wyrms are killed, indicating that there are more hostiles, and that the hostiles really are hostile.

Ilk grabs another company of troops from Home.

A plaque arrives at the precise distance required by politeness away from Ilk on a Logrus tendril. The tendril is heavily generic, and of Ilk's approximate skill level. The plaque reads, "From beyond the rim, a hand stretches forth." The handwriting is disguised, but both the tendril and the plaque look familiar to Ilk - it's REN, the real Lord Cara. It's about time... Ilk writes that an ace in the hole would be appreciated, and "Computed" appears beneath his response.

Norton gets an estimate of the enemy troop strength from some of his Tremere - they saw between one thousand and fifteen hundred, moving into attack position.

Ilk opens a gate to Home and grabs about fifty thousand of his troops and stacks them like battlements. Norton doesn't recognize them as anything other than fortifications until Ilk tells him what they are, but he gets the impression from the way Ilk is stacking his troops that Snarsht is offering some help. Ilk doesn't realize that his stacking is being influenced, and doesn't notice the message.

[Beastmasters' Guild takes sides, first time in memory. Film at eleven.]

A note appears in front of Ilk, borne by basic Logrus with a familiar signature from a member of House Cara, reading "House Cara troops are ready to move" Ilk replies, "Advance on House Helgram."

The Godzillas and Mothras have apparently come to an agreement, and they both start tossing demons into the Abyss to clear some fighting room. The demons come back as quickly as they are cleared, but it keeps the movie monsters entertained as the Godzillas try to out-clear the Mothras, and visa-versa.

Norton trumps Corwin and tells him about the fun. Corwin asks if the second of the Warriors' Guild would be welcome. They approve. Corwin says that this place is near his picnic spot and that he'll be showing up, possibly with Jesby, fairly soon.

[Having a battle. Thought you might like to join. - Norton]

Norton sends a squadron of Godzillas forward to rampage over one of Helgram's phalanxes.

Ilk starts setting up a few Logrus chutes to drop Helgram leaders and champions into the shifter's trap.

Norton and Ilk anchor, and Norton sends a message to those inside the trap warning them that some leaders of House Helgram might be joining them inside.

Ilk's shadow storm has reached a respectable size by now, and he notices that the demons move away from it. He extends bits of the storm outwards into the demons, and notices that they are repulsed by it.

Current inventory:

Ilkandacian, Norton, a few dozen random members of House Cara, a dozen Erics, about a dozen cats, lots of movie monsters, about fifty thousand troops from Home, and a shadow storm.
