Osric has finished fixing his front door. He's not sure if he did it or if the elder Mellor did it, but it is done.
Osric can't think of an open place where he hasn't seen, at one time or another, infected Mellor. The only places that might be free of the infection are this control room and a few of his other sealed places. He conjures up a new transport vehicle and sends the elder Mellor to one of the other nearby sealed substations. One of the Mellor has a thing for purple.
The conversation, in a nutshell: "Shut up and get into the car"
Osric returns to the place where he was exploring the innards of an infected Mellor, and notices that the Mellor has absorbed the tools that he was using to investigate it and is growing a base of whiteish stone. He digs his tools out and continues dissecting.
Osric's computer is still searching for a match in shadow with the demons filling Chaos.
Osric sets up an experiment with two Mellor that have been infected in different fashions to see if the infections interact. He tries to find fringe-worthy worshipers to toss things off the Fringe, but the only places willing to do it for free are the ones without anything worth tossing.
Osric goes to a gate that he thinks is safe, and exits the Fringe near the roof of a cavern. He perches on a stalagmite, tries to trump Celeste, and fails, only receiving an ethereal feeling.
Celeste accepts her invitation from Titania. The invitation melts in her hands and dissolves, and the world around her takes on an ethereal quality.
There is a blue haired individual standing next to a bush. She follows it. She chats with it. She accepts gifts from it. She asks where court is, and it points to her, puts a silver circlet on her head, and hops off.
Jean is listening to Deirdre entertain Flora. Flora is bearing the gopher stories remarkably well, and Jean was unphased by the brief presence of a second Flora. Deirdre introduces Jean to the Suhuy ghost, but Jean cannot see it.
Titania pops in when Celeste fires up the god channels. She expresses surprise at Celeste's tardiness for the party in her honor, and says that she will have to restart the party. She also seems irritated when she finds out that the guide crowned Celeste. Titania sends Celeste a new guide.
Celeste torments, tickles, and tortures the grass. Her new guide, a small bird, leads her across the poor abused grass to the party.
Titania is slouched across a throne with her head tipped back, being fed by a fawn. Overhead is an archway that appears to be made of glass. There is a large, heavily laden banquet table in the center of the glade, which is filled with partying beings. Celeste joins in the fun. Brownies play with her shoes.
Celeste asks after Brand, and is disappointed to find out that he is getting drunk with the Mountain King.
Cassandra, Janus, Darhyse, and Norton are pulling to Arden. Janus is throwing up. The Corwin simulacrum in Norton's head is trying to determine how the Mandor is rigging the deck of cards that they're playing with. He can't detect any cheating, but is sure that Mandor can't be winning that often legitimately.
Norton offers to go into Cassandra's head to teach her how to turn Julian's blood into acid. Corwin yells at his host.
The group arrives in Arden, where they join Malachai, Random, Martin, the zombie Corwin, the zombie Damia, Tazik, and Serena.
The Corwin zombie is shambling towards Darhyse, who is still shaped as a sword. Cassandra tries to grab the hilt and is severely shocked, repeatedly, until she gives up. The Corwin zombie touches the sword and is thrown backwards by the shock. Random plays with the sword, touching it, saying "ow", and touching it again.
Tazik, at Malachai's urging, picks up the sword and waves it around. "Nice sword. Shitty balance."
Corwin tells Norton to touch Greyswandir to Darhyse. Norton produces Greyswandir from inside his body and touches it to Darhyse. Both swords disappear. Corwin says that Greyswandir told him that he was going home. The group contemplates waiting for moon-rise and going to Tir.
"I'm going to beat your sword senseless, dad."
Norton gives Cassandra a bottle of lithium. Corwin is not amused.
Cassandra contacts Peekaboo. Peekaboo is being carried by a big tooth.
[Celeste, the Mad Unatrumpbomber]
Cassandra and Malachai try to trump Merlin. Absolutely nothing. Not even a twitch. Norton tries to shift into Merlin, with advice from the simulacrums, including Merlin's brother and father. He fails, lacking sufficient information.
Mandor makes mind candy for Jean. Norton is baffled.
Cassandra pulls the dagger out of her side, and notices that it was modified - there are two long scratches along the length of the blade. Norton notices that there is poison in Cassandra.
Norton tries to shift the wound away, and the mob in his head gains access with her mind. Jean tosses a tendril in, and Cassandra slams her mind shut. The Ilk simulacrum tells the Jean simulacrum that it's not nice to enter other people's minds without asking first.
Cassandra notices that Corwin is in her body, destroying the virus, but extinguishing his life force in the process. Cassandra tries to expel him and fails. She calls out to Norton, Inc. for assistance. They look at the virus - it has spread so thoroughly through her body that Ilk couldn't remove it without taking most of Cassandra's body with it. The Ilk simulacrum reaches into shadow, grabs lots of power, and feeds it to Corwin via Norton. Cassandra feels like she is bathing in a warm shower. The Corwin simulacrum is no longer dying. Julian's nose is breathing the power in. Ilk isolates it from the power stream, and it stops breathing.
The party in Faerie has wound down. Brand still hasn't shown up. Celeste heads off to the Hall of the Mountain King, where she argues with a dwarf. They end up trading blows over the head with a hammer, don't get married, the dwarf declares her to be a dwarf, and they head inside.
They sing the gold song. They eat rocks. They pass gnomes keeping the books. The GM gives life to a number of terrible puns, which shall not be dignified by given continued existence in these logs. Celeste is not okay.
They are invited into the Hall itself by a dwarf that looks like an emu. The King rearranges the table, and Celeste is seated next to Brand. Brand quietly strokes her hand. Celeste drinks with the rest. The drinks taste like motor oil, and their plates are covered with rocks. "Well, eat up!"
[In time, all things will come to pass.]
The Corwin simulacrum is done. Cassandra, Norton, and all of Norton's remaining head people are unable to determine where it went - it seems to be gone.
The Ilk simulacrum in Norton searches for Merlin, and finds him. Six or seven percent of him, that is. The bits are scattered across a large segment of shadow, and there might be more pieces, but nothing else has enough Merlin-ness to register on Ilk's Logrus. Norton tries to detect Merlin's soul through Ilk's tendrils, but cannot find anything.
Ilk and Norton share their discovery with the group at large. Cassandra is not okay with that.
