Hunter, Jaq, Masque, Gypsy, Banshee, Neris, Sibby, Samson, and Darhyse are circling the bunny. Lazy, Atalanta, and Peekaboo are not present.
[The GM is a liar]
Banshee is wailing, Gypsy and Hunter and Masque are nowhere to be seen, and Jaq has begun to grow in size. Neris and Sibby are circling to attack from opposite sides, and Samson and Darhyse are just sitting there.
Cassandra tells Jean what is happening. "Can we go up and take a look?" "We were told that it wasn't safe near the hole." "I can go over there. I don't have any bodyguards." Jean walks over to take a look. Cassandra sulks.
There is some sort of magical or electrical discharge around the bunny's body that is causing a large number of the cats' attacks to be repelled. The bugs are pouring out of another hole that has just opened up near them. Neris is not good about this because the bugs are behind her.
Jaq is still growing, and has changed shape so that he looks like a giant demon-Jean with hands like Buzz-saw Louie. Jaq attacks. Darhyse gives Cassandra a fleeting thought that she can't catch and then takes off at a dead run away from the fight. Masque is lying on his side oozing blood and is not responding to mental contact. Hunter has acquired a bunny ear and is handing it to Gypsy who is now dragging it off.
Cailin is with the bug brains concentrating on finishing his crowns.
Samson has stopped waiting and has disembowled one of the wolves that tried to sneak down the hole.
Cassandra reaches out to Gypsy and asks her to bring Masque to him. There is a section of Jaq that is being chewed on by the bunny that is no longer attached to Jaq. Cassandra gets pissed and charges with a drawn lightsaber.
Cassandra reaches the surface and ignites her saber. It is dark and raining, and the ground is slippery with water and blood.
Most of the soldiers present are wounded and bleeding. Some are shredded by bunny-claws, and some are wounded by energy-discharge.
Cassandra cheats on her footing with the Force and analyzes the reflective field around the bunny. The bunny's life force is twisted and massive. Cassandra worries that if she tapped it herself she would drown.
"Jean? Can you handle icky life force?"
"I guess."
Cassandra reaches a hand into the belly of the puppet and feeds some of the force to the Jean homoculai. Jean considers this tasty, so Cassandra feeds him more.
The bunny focuses on Cassandra, who orders Samson out of the path of the bunny's charge. Samson and the bodyguards ignore Cassandra and remain in front of her. Cassandra grabs Jean and jumps down the hole.
Banshee has kicked into high gear. Jean tries to figure out how Cassandra is causing that power drain, and contemplates getting some of those blades.
The bugs are now attacking the back of the bunny. Darhyse tells Cassandra that three more bunnies are rapidly approaching.
Jean in Chaos asks Celeste if she could use him as a conduit to get more of him there, but she's not sure. He asks Augral.
"... and there should be more of me there to help the cats and the white company who is now red..."
Cassandra is no longer receiving mental contact from Masque. She asks Neris, who is busy - up to her neck in wolves.
The concept of trump is explained to Augral, and Celeste starts drawing another trump. Flora starts passing grenades through to Jean.
Samson has taken a leg off the bunny, but is lying unconscious and bleeding against the wall. Jaq and Neris are having problems with the wolves.
Cassandra warns Jaq and aports a live grenade into the midst of the wolves. Jaq leaps and sprouts wings. Some of the wolves are damaged, but are healing rapidly. Cassandra aports a grenade into a wolf's stomach. It explodes, and starts regrowing. Jean tries to bud into the wolves when they get knocked down, but can't. He tries to figure out why, and determines that it's because they're undead. He checks for undead flesh melting spells in his boxes, and can't find any.
Jean asks Norton how he would deal with undead wolves. "Give them to me." Mecha-Jean reaches down, Augral draped over his shoulder, then passes Norton through the Jean-trump with a *zot*. Norton appears next to Jean and Cassandra, sees the approaching bunny, and goes mist, leaving the Pattern armor behind. Ilk in Norton thinks that being inhaled by bunnies tickles, and really doesn't like the ordered environment. Ilk discovers that the bunny cannot be affected by a low-powered sleep spell, and Norton lopes up the tunnel, leaving the crushed remnants of the armor behind.
["You're eloping?"]
Norton reaches the top of the tunnel and starts bending the wolves to his will. Ilk and Mandor in Norton start playing with spells and healing soldiers.
Cailin finishes working on the crowns and sends two off with a bug. A bug delivers two crowns to Cassandra and Jean along with a note. Cassandra and Jean put them on, and are now linked in mental contact with Cailin, Cassandra, Jean, Augral, some of the cats, and sometimes Flora.
Ilk teleports a magical bug on a paper airplane between the bunny and Cassandra. Cailin starts drawing off Cassandra's bunny tap. Ilk sends the paper airplane to Cassandra and Jean. Cailin sends a crown back up Ilk's spell.
Conversation happens over the link.
[The wolves ate the order - somewhere in me my GM self is screaming]
Cailin tries to create a stasis bubble around the bunny. Cassandra sits down and expands the diameter of the life-drain pipe. Norton finishes taking over the wolves and joins the mental link. He invites people in for tea; Cailin considers it briefly, and finds himself in Norton's head.
The situation is explained to Norton and he sends the wolves after the three approaching bunnies. Norton is shown the dead Sha'um, comments on his master's mark, and asks for Faythe's help. Jean asks Flora to trump him and brings Faythe through to help Norton. Celeste questions Jean at length.
Jean asks for a bunny-o-meter. Cassandra notices that the bunny is almost dry.
Neville overhears Jean and Celeste talking and mentions that they should stop attacking the bunny - they're giving it power. Cailin asks the brain bug to pull back the warriors. The bugs stop attacking, and the bunny dies instantly. Cassandra incinerates the corpse.
Mandor cannot perceive the cats, even when Ilk points them out to him. Cailin and Ilk try to heal the cats magically, but the spells fizzle.
Jean asks one of the bodyguards where the other one went, and is told that he gave them time to get down the tunnel. They look for the remains for Norton's later use, but they were incinerated with the end of the bunny.
The bunnies have stopped closing - the wolves have split into three groups and are attacking them. Jean asks Cassandra for a ranged pipe to one of the bunnies. Cailin shrinks one of the crowns to fit a saucer-Jean, and the saucer zips off to circle the bunnies.
The group is annoyed by the mental feed from the full Jean, so Jean asks Celeste if she can shutter everyone else from all but one Jean. Celeste joins the contact, raises the shutters, feeds more power to Faythe, and puts up a viewscreen for Neville's viewing amusement.
Cailin contemplates building a wall between Jean and the bunny. The idea is dropped, and Ilk and Cailin start dropping anvils to the tune of the Anvil Song. After a bit, they switch over to dropping anvils with blades and sharp spikes. Mecha-Jean can hear the bunny scream when the heavy guillotine blade strikes, but the bunny grows visibly larger afterwards.
Those with access to perceptive devices above the ground see a troop of troops, a troop of cats, and Corwin riding a giant Sha'um. Cassandra trumps her father. "Party line" There is now a Corwin in Norton's head. "Shit..." Cassandra dumps the situation to her father - the one not in Norton's head, that is.
Corwin sends the cats after one bunny, takes the second himself, and lets the rest of us play with the third.
Corwin approaches his bunny, florishes Greyswandir, and asks the rodent if it has any last words. He carefully sticks Greyswandir on the bunny's nose and proceeds to slice a small segment of Pattern onto the fur. The bunny twitches and struggles, but is fixed in place, so Corwin goes to the second one and sends the cats after the pinned bunny. After anchoring the second, Corwin goes after the third. When Corwin starts carving Pattern-bits on the bunny Cassandra is draining, the lifeforce-tap switches from a sewage line to pure spring water.
Finally, Corwin makes acerbic remarks at his daughter over the trump contact and leads his army off including White Company, leaving several companies here to continue the war.
The group plays with the perpetual power source. Celeste hands the hour and a half through to Corwin in Norton. A conversation happens in Norton's head.
[We are hijacking this body, and we are going to Cuba!]
All of the cats but Masque and Samson survived. Masque is now an undead kitty; Samson is now ash. Norton promises to take Masque to his master for restoration.
Cailin wonders what would happen if he turned into a yeti in here. Mandor tells Cailin that he has a note from his grandmother, and holds it out. Cailin turns into a yeti and flees around Norton's body. Fun and merriment is had by all.
After losing many minions to the explosions of order, Ilk has found the source of the order. It is a council that seems to be creating order in a non-Pattern method. Ilk decides that the safest way to investigate would be to send in a minion puppeted with Logrus.
The minion cannot bulldoze his way in through the bureaucracy. The council and bureaucracy actually seem to be efficient, productive, and useful. The minion receives an appointment on the calendar.
The council was physically located on one of the promentaries in Chaos, but Chaos itself is moving away from them, and an Abyss has formed between their promentary and the rest of Chaos. They call it the rift problem.
Ilk converses with the council. When their investigating committee approaches those that are influenced, the influence drops away, leaving a very confused amnesiac remembering just having seen Toram. They also say that one of their number changed his name to Shiryu and left the council.
Ilk Logrus-searches for, finds, and talks with the Realms Lord, who turns out to be an Andron from yet another reality. Andron's native reality was extremely young, and was almost completely destroyed when a group of young mathematicians went to another island in the Sea and not too long afterwards everyone was wiped out by a wave of Primal Chaos.
Only six Old Lords survived - Melchizedik, Andron, Jenoir, Shiryu, Suhuy, and Rainbow. One rift was found in the aftermath. Andron contacted it and was sucked through. His life-mate, "Jen", died closing the rift. The new Shiryu has no plans to return to his native reality, and says that he was never a member of the council here, and merely let the council think that he was one of their number.
Ilk and Shiryu compare other realities. Shiryu confuses Ilk with Suhuy, and asks Ilk if he is taking the job - there are none here with his level of familiarity with the Logrus, and Shiryu hasn't even been introduced to the Logrus yet. Shiryu shows Ilk a map of the rifts, the largest off which is inside the Logrus itself.
They discuss Toram's recent takeover of this reality and how to best un-corrupting the influenced ones. They decide to bring them to the council to un-influence; Shiryu will prepare a place to support their numbers in one and half turnings.
Ilk returns to the council and tells them of the plan. They ask him if he will be their Suhuy or if he can train one for them, and Ilk agrees to do what he can to see about acquiring a Logrus Master for this reality.
Ilk's takeover of this reality was five-sixths complete, so he orders those he controls to capture those influenced but not under his control and take them past the council, and then go past themselves.
Ilk goes to chat with the Logrus in the hopes of acquiring a lift home without being influenced. He enters the entry-room of the Logrus and is starting to tendri out when he notices something tendri'ing in. It bears the signature of the Logrus. Ilk tendris back in. The other entity doesn't entirely solidify, but two glowing red eyes are visible in a massive head.
Ilk bows very low. The Serpent returns the bow, much lower than Ilk would have expected.
"I haven't seen you since the circle. [how have you been?]"
[Ilk responds with a polite thanks.]
Ilk and the Serpent make small-talk.
"You are needed back home."
The Serpent tendris out; Ilk follows. The Serpent wraps each of Ilk's tendrils with one of its tendrils, each of which bears the signature of the Logrus from Ilk's reality. The signature is only noticable due to proximity and memory.
Ilk realizes that he is possibly drawing power from the local Logrus and filtering it through his impression of the Logrus with which he is most familiar, remembers that Suhuy had warned him about filters and blocks, and starts thinking about removing them.
As he is contemplating that, Ilk is forced to tendri back in into an antechamber, next to a familiar Logrus and a familiar Suhuy.
Suhuy is bowing to something that is not Ilk. "Summoned, I appear."
The Serpent releases Ilk. "Come with me." Suhuy tendris out, and the Serpent wraps each of Suhuy's tendrils with one of its, and they leave.
Ilk sits down.
Ilk went looking for Suhuy in Suhuy's ways and found him. They chat - the defenses around the outlaws' stronghold are old, were constructed by two his apprentices in ages past, and are not being actively maintained. Ilk should also possibly solicit aid, advice, or observation from psionicists, mages, and the Gentleman Suhuy - he might want to watch.
They discuss Pharaban - he was one of Suhuy's first apprentices, and is very formidable.
Suhuy wakes the Ilk who is resting. They chat. Suhuy introduces Ilk to Ilk while almost maintaining a straight face, then leaves to resume his other business.
Ilk that is Suhuy's apprentice goes to House Cara and tosses paper airplanes at Gentleman Suhuy to get his attention. Gentleman Suhuy reaches out a hand, grabs his apprentice, and pulls that Ilk onto the roof of House Cara.
Ilk prime appears in the antechamber of the Logrus, sees the Serpent leave with Suhuy, and sits down, feeling flushed with power.
He synchronizes and meets up with the other Ilks. The four Ilks tendri out, tendril swap and chat. Cara complains about having to bow the lowest; Ilk prime claims the Savior of Chaos title. Cara grumps. When the Ilk who is Suhuy's apprentice un-tendri's, he looks superficially like Suhuy. And the one who is Cara looks like Vlad. The one who is Pattern Suhuy's apprentice doesn't seem to have a physical form, and the Savior of Chaos looks like Ilk.
Ilk that is Cara goes to Jenoir and Andron's place to apologize for crowning Silver Lyra and to ask for their aid. He arrives in the transfer point and acquires their attention.
